Padded rifle case for a Plains rifle
« on: August 21, 2024, 09:14:02 PM »
Can someone recommend a quality no frill padded, non scope, gun case for a 36" barrel Hawken-Dimick style plains rifle. Do not need or want side pockets, sling ect. Just a good zipper and good padding and allows for the drop of the butt. Do not want a hard case.
thanks

Log Cabin Shop carries long padded cases with zippers.

I made a padded non zippered sleeve with two layers of heavy denim and a foam layer between them. Had an upholstery guy sew it up for me. Its not what you want but I would think a zipper could have been installed with little problem at the time of construction.  :-\

I second the unique cases; they did sell the company and some gal took off with all the money and hit the road leaving the company belly up.

The original owner posted that he was back in control and planned to get things up and running again. It might be a good idea to check first to see if they are back in production.

I bought a bunch of these cases for my long B/P guns back when they cost $29.95, very well made and even have a range rod pouch.
