Black Powder shooting
« on: November 25, 2024, 06:30:12 PM »
Enclosed is  picture of a Kentucky buck taken on Nov 11 this year while hunting with my 2 sons in Hawesville area on land my older son purchased this year. It isn't a large buck, but at 86 my wife wanted some venison and a buck with a muzzleloader doesn't come every year. Taken with a 54 cal T/C Hawken percussion I built from a kit in 1980. Hope to make the drive down from WI to KY again the next few years!

I'll hope for a buck similar to that one when my season comes in after Thanksgiving. Congrats!

83 and still getting it done, WOW! Any deer with a flintlock is a trophy. God bless you for keeping at it.
