1770s Militia Cartridge box kits now available! This type was by far the most common in the lead up to the American War for Independence.
2 years ago, I debuted my version of this iconic cartridge box. Since then, they have been used on battlefields all over the country, including at the NPS Battleroad events at Lexington and Concord. This box meets the strict authenticity standards of the NPS/Battleroad.
Each kit contains all the parts you need to construct a 1770s militia cartridge box, including a 17rd block made from local Massachusetts or Vermont Pine, all the leather parts, your choice of two buckle styles, linen thread precut to the appropriate length for each seam, and a lid template which includes the three most common lid shapes. Instructions and supply list also included.
