One thing about UK auctions I've noticed, is that VERY nice muzzleloaders usually go for a very low price.

Not sure how cheap they are.   With the exchange rate and buyer's premium you will pay 1.5 times the hammer price.  Plus, you got to get it out of the country and too you.

I've heard nothing but nightmares about getting firearms, even flintlocks, out of the UK.  There must be a good way to do it but I've never heard anything other than  horror stories.  That topic has been covered previously on the forum.  Maybe there's a good way but I have yet to hear about it!

I've not had too much trouble.  You do need to hire a customs broker though.
