First ball bag
« on: April 10, 2025, 08:01:47 AM »
Finally got around to ordering some leather & tools and decided to make a ball bag, partly because I need one (or 3) and that they seemed like good beginner projects.

It was dyed a dark brown, but the mink oil at the end turned it near black, so need to find a different finishing project. (I had mink oil on hand, so didn't order any).
Plan is to use these as skill development tools, so I can go ahead with a shooting bag.

Looks really good!

What do you plan on using for a stopper? Carved stopper or something fancier?

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Doug

Well, I really want to do something like these:

..but I think it'll be a more simple wooden plug for the first one. I am also trying to finish my gun and while distractions are welcome, I also don't want to jump in too deep just yet.
