Gunsmith / farmer Johnson Toppin any more info

I picked up this squrriel gun at the Oregon gunmakers fair.Bill picked this up on a trip back in PA in a small town antique shop. The tag has some info was hoping for more. Cant find him in any of my books yet.

Toppin is mentioned in Rosenberger's & Kaufmann's book, "The Longrifles of Western Pennsylvania," with the following information provided on page 134:

Toppin, Johnson, born 1808 in Maryland, working at Charmichaels in Greene County, PA in 1860, working in Cumberland Twp., Greene County 1870-1880. No rifles by Toppin are illustrated in the above book.

Here's a bit more to add to Toppin's history. He was born 25 February 1808 and died 22 May 1890.  The 1870 census lists him as a farmer. Note that the gun tag indicating that Toppin was a civil war vet wounded at Gettysburg is probably for another guy who was born in 1846
