Here's a neat pistol, I think made in the New England states. Same era as Hawken work. What do you think it would be worth if signed Hawken? Now, I think the asking price has been $2500 and it's been for sale for a while. Funny how this stuff works...

I have made a number of locks with the J&S Hawken name on the plate but certainly did not copy their mechanisms and the closest I came to it was a lock that had only full cock.The last one I started was like that but never finished.

Has the barrel been removed from the stock?It might be a Tom Dawson basement project.Look at the lock if possible.
