A Patriotic Folk-Art Horn
« on: May 07, 2025, 03:50:17 AM »
Horn #90; A Patriot's Horn.  I had started this horn about six or seven months ago, and stopped after doing the upper and lower borders. I had no idea what would look 'right' with the borders and just let the horn sit on my table as I worked on other projects.
A couple of days ago, while walking past the horn I glanced down at it and it suddenly occurred to me to do an American Eagle motif. It seemed perfect.
The image of General Washington was a pretty easy decision for me, and after about 40 hours of engraving, it's all done.
Sometimes, it takes a while for the pieces to all fall together, but I think it was worth the wait.
