Any leftys shooting a Kibler woodsrunner?
« on: May 23, 2025, 12:28:50 PM »
Would like to jump on the Kiber bandwagon  but I shoot lefthanded.  Wondering if any leftys have built a woodsrunner to suit them. I understand  the stock has cast and the patchbox can't be left off.

I have one in a 54 cal. It’s a well balanced and accurate shooting gun. No problems shooting it left handed .

May void the kibler warranty if you do that.  Best check.

I assembled one, and it shot and handled fine LH.  I didn’t notice the castoff..  I think there is enough drop that it doesn’t matter.  The PB isn’t in play.

Here’s a video of a Woodsrunner shot left handed, no issues at all.

I don't know why shooting a RH built Kibler rifle left handed would be different than shooting any other RH built rifle left handed.

Figured the patchbox would be where a cheekrest should be and the bent stock would make it hard to see the sights. Guess I'm wrong.

Just make or get a left hand rifle. Then it will be yours'.

Have several lefthand rifles I made. Keep hearing how great kiblers are.

Being left hand impaired, the only thing troublesome is certain patch boxes. The hinges can be issues, leather wrap smooths the rough edges is a solution for that.

I started my last rifle, heavy at the breech end and a 2&1\2 inch wide butt when I could see out of my right eye. Now which macular degeneration in my right eye I have to shoot that rifle that was cut with a generous amount of cast off for a RH shooter left handed. I have to crawl atop the comb some what to do it but can get it done with a lot of concentration.
