home made pnuematic engraving machine
« on: July 28, 2025, 10:38:31 PM »
I was fortunate to run into Rich Peirce at Kempton and chat with him a bit. I told him I made this engraver machine and he ask me to post about it. First off I watched Rick Alexander homemade engraving machine. Its a 6 part video with drawings etc.He builds it entirley on a drill press but a lathe would be nice. I guess it cost me $125 or so,Rick will tell you all the parts to buy. I had my doubts about this thing working, during the video he says this thing will work and mine does.Go to youtube Rick Alexander homemade engraving. Have fun.

I've been experimenting a bit with a couple of electronic (solenoid) powered versions, but need more time to see if I can make it work.
If it does, it'll be a very affordable.

Jakob, you dont need much to make this thing. A half in. bolt, round stockfor the piston, the video tells you what to buy by brand name for the compresser and electronics.
