It is a long time yet until my winter project, which is a .62 Jaeger with a Rice barrel, cherry stock and iron hardware. I usually use peep sights, but might put a flip up rear on this one. In fact, I hope to get one of the ones recently in the for sale section. These come with a smooth slightly curved top line on the fixed and flip parts, so you can file v or square notch as you choose and then between filing of rear and or front, adjust for elevation.
So my question; Is there any rationale or reason to sight adjust for the flip up longer range part, or the lower fixed part first, then do the other?
