I hang stocks, grips and forends from bent wires cut from coat hangers.
Sometimes the hook-eye is used when there's no secure place to hook up the stock with the bent wire.
They hang from everything from a the top of a closet door molding (the door is propped open all the time) to shelves, to about any place that seems appropriate in here.
Enough stuff going on all the time so I forget about them individually, kind of. They all dry just fine.
Never be in a hurry for stock finish to dry.
