Soddy Daisy Butt Plate II
« on: August 24, 2025, 10:25:49 PM »
New build in curly ash similar to previous builds but this wood isn't quite as prone to split but still hard as woodpecker lips! Built in place with my usual blue painters tape for a ruler and straight edge. Only one screw and two copper rivets in the butt plate. Two steel and one copper rivet in the comb. Five copper rivets in the toe plate. I like em copper!  ;D

I saw your earlier one at the CLA show- that rifle was great and the butt stock was so cool! No wonder it went fast !

Stock finish going on now. I'll be posting pictures next week under a new topic.

Here's a sneak preview

Lots of attention still to go. Remember this is what they make shovel handles out of!
