Old Barrel marked B Sells Richard Gorby
« on: September 08, 2025, 07:34:18 PM »
I traded for this ol barrel It is stamped in 1/8 " letters   B Sells
In 1/4 " letters it is stamped Richard Gorby.
33" x 15/16 x 36 cal,aprox. Good condition inside. I would shoot it.
Has hollow u-rib attached with rivits one underlug for pin another nearby that had been plugged very well.
Muzzle has punch decoration evenly applied
Cant get good pics right now, will keep trying.

I seem to remember a discussion on here while back about B Sells.I appreciate any info and your time
Best regards

I have always liked the Dimmick styled rifles. He operated in St Louis in the late 19th century. Dimmick made "plains " rifles of large caliber but he also made many small game rifles for local people. I believe with that short of a barrel you could only install one barrel key but keep the overall architecture the same. Dommick did make many one keyed rifles!,,,LK
