A couple of half-stock rifles recently surfaced that we have attributed to Cornelius Iman of Grant County, West Virginia. After collecting VA/WV long rifles for a couple of decades, I started to ignore half-stock rifles; recently, I have reconsidered that defect. Half stocks are part of the evolution of the American Long rifle and deserve some recognition.

I didn't know of this maker at all—a nice rifle with interesting backup research.
