Percussion lock ID
« on: October 01, 2025, 07:58:49 PM »
I can find no markings or stamps on the lock. Does it look familiar to anyone?

This lock for sure needs cleaning and polishing. It is on the same percussion fowler as the barrel I posted for ID.

Thanks, Dan

Not one of mine but whoever made it did a good and the link is well placed for smooth operation from resting on a nipple to full cock.

Thanks for the insight Mr. Roller. I am but a rank amateur, but I was thinking the basic mechanics of the lock looked pretty good.

The plate is a touch over 1” by 4.75” with 1.75” hammer throw.

Thanks again, Dan
