Well i got out to the range today! Almost no wind, perfect for shooting. It worked!! I was shooting a 3 inch group at 100 yards! I had to switch the ball to a .490 ball and a .010 patch. And then I worked up to 90 grains. 90 grains gave me an amazing 5 shot group!  Super stoked. I'll post a picture along with this.

So i guess it is absolutely possible to do your own rifling by hand without any special jigs or machines haha.

Looking very promising, to hold accuracy for 4 shots.

This is a really interesting thread. I hope your micro rifling works. I'm excited to see the results.

Thanks!! And yessir it works pretty good haha. Very excited to shoot with it more and use it for deer season this year. Might play with the sights a bit to try and make it even more accurate, I think the sights are whats hold it back at this point haha. I think I'm gonna file the front tip to a point so I can place it more precisely on the target. My goodness am I giddy that it actually worked haha

I might have missed it but what were you using for lube?

Spit haha! I havent tried out the bear fat just yet. I wanted to make sure I found a good load so I wouldn't waste it while figuring out how to get it to shoot good

Be aware the Bear Oil might not have the same poi as any other lube used.
As for sights, might I suggest a wide V and bead for a hunting sight? The FLAT 45 degree angle
of the back of filed and polished bead, shines like a beacon in the bush, is easily placed in the
bottom of the wide V and sighting becomes not a guessing game.
