Turn screws
« on: October 09, 2025, 05:07:59 AM »
This week I made these three turn screws along with another folding knife. I've been wanting one for myself for years now. So the persimmon one that looks a bit crude is mine. All of them have 1084 steel bits that get heat treated so they are actually useful.

I like them, going to stain them? That would be a welcome addition to a hunting pouch.

Yes they will get stained and a bit of aging on a couple of them.

I think those would make a great canvas for some face jug art? I'll buy the first one you do so you're not out anything on the experiment.

Don, I might do one with a jug face for you. Here they are with some color on them.

Curious about the length, are they usually short? Regardless they look great!

Dan the turn screws are about 3-1/2" overall. I make them for shot bag carry. I use mine to swap flints and remove my lock for cleaning.

They are nice and would fit into a bag very well! Nice shape but I would do a bit better sanding/finishing on them - just me - yours are fine for you ;D
