Brown Bess Hardware Castings Wanted
« on: January 13, 2026, 05:45:21 PM »
I'm working on the Brown Bess kit we have planned and have a great example to copy, however the hardware is pretty firmly affixed to the stock.  I don't want to try to dissasemble it completely, but want to see the shape of the areas not exposed.  So, does anyone have any Rifle Shoppe castings of a 1756 pattern Bess?  I will pay whatever the going rate is.  I don't know this price.

Thanks!

I have a TRS buttplate I could send you if you just need to borrow it. My Bess project is a long way down the road just yet.

Thanks so much, but I think I'm covered.  I've done a good bit of CAD modeling and I think the buttplate is squared away.  Appreciate the offer.
