 :-\  Where can I find information/pictures of the 1794 Naval Contract Flintlock. I understand it was made by more than one contractor. I would like to learn more about early naval acceptance marks/ cartouches. A Anchor with a stocking cap top of the anchor......

Your best source of information on the 1794 contract muskets, including naval muskets, will be George Moller's American Military Shoulder Arms: From the 1790s to the End of the Flintlock Period: Vol 2. With the addition of Volume 3, first two volumes have recently been reprinted and are again available.
