I thought this post might drag out a few collectors and dreamers .. FK , seems like I have a very vague remembrance of that type fantasy, but at this point I am really not sure ?
As JTR said the photo is a bit deceiving .. Yes the comb line looks like Berks County . In real life , not so much ..Dennis said Jacob Dickert ?? JTR thought Lancaster and gave a few possibilities ..They both had it part right ..The rifle is actually one of Jacob Metzgers earilyer Lancaster guns , with a daisy type patch box , signed bbl. never shortened and the wood does goes all the way to the end ..Yes, arrangements were made to put this rifle in a relocation program .
As for the hot wheels trade , I will have to keep that offer from my grandson !! Sorry but I have no photos at this time ..My wife will take them and it will be at her pleasure, if you know what I mean ... LP
