No I do not think this book is sold out. When I talked with Dave I was under the impression that he had all the books at his home and he was selling them direct. Below is the ordering information.
Dennis

Quote
David Byrd has just completed a new book "East Tennessee Hog Rifles" the book is 8.5 X 11" with 152 pages. There is information on 43 different East Tennessee gunmakers and most of them have photos of their work. The photos are black and white.

David has been studying these Tennessee Rifles most of his life and has a tremendous knowledge on the subject.

The printer printed a reverse image of the first photo in the book (the signature on a signed B. Bean rifle) but David includes a loose page of the photo that is correct. Since the first run of books has this printer mistake David has lowered his price to $18.00 per copy with $5.00 for shipping. If you would like one of these copies send a total of $23.00 to:

I got mine direct from David.  He signed it as well.  The photos are not real good, but the biographical information on the gunsmiths is very good.  There are a considerable number of Tennessee rifles that we would consider atypical which I found interesting.
Quality, schedule, price; Pick any two.

Have really enjoyed the Greasy Cove book, looking forward to the new one.  Hope there isn't a lot of overlap.

Thanks

I feel sure it is still available and if for some reason it isn't I feel sure Dave with return your money/check. He's a great guy to deal with.

And yes Dave has those books at his home. I am not sure if he has other outlets or not but contact him direct.

Well my buddy wanted me to go to that, but I didn't because I didn't have any money to spend and am yet chasing firewood.

IF I'd had any idea I could have bought Dave's book there, I would have certainly gone-OR at least had my buddy pick up a copy for me.

Spent my book money on chainsaw parts.  Now putting saws back together and going for more wooood before it rains and gets chilly again.

Thanks Cades Cove Fiddler (CCF) for the report on the book.  I'll get one when I can.

Why not call or write and order the new one directly from him? He will get you a signed copy by mail...
as everyone says, he is great to deal with and the books are well worth it...

Because life keeps happening and distractions, despite all I penned above.  And at this point I'm hoping to see one for sale at the Lake Cumberland show and would surely snap it up. If I call and order one now it'd be next week before I got it, so I'll wait to see what happens at the show.  I do have the $ set aside now and can "move" on the next best opportunity-which could be at the Hammer In.

Just noticed that Log Cabin Shop shows 9 in inventory this minute:

http://www.logcabinshop.com/catalog.php?path=188_148_66&product_id=84559

Dang, was going to call him to inquire about his book and the show, but find no number. I'm not about to order one when I might get one from the author in person.  I'm going to stuff a check into an envelope and try to find a stamp and carry that with me.  If I cannot find him or his book.  I'll mail the check.  Now if can keep focused on that long enough it'll happen. I do not expect anyone to understand that.  Okay, got it done in less than 45 minutes.   :o :P

I just got mine in the mail. Wow really cool book. Love the various versions of the East TN Hog rifles. Great buy,  and  signed by the author.  I sense a east TN rifle in the future. Nice work David Byrd.

Yep.  I got mine yesterday. Been too weathered to much look at it yet, but have glanced through about 3x.  Really good collection of pics and guns I'd not seen before.

If you've any interest in TN guns or Southern guns, this is 5-star stuff.  Thanks Mr. Byrd.
