here is one I just bought from a forum member here "roughneck" these are his photos, I haven't taken any yet. but it looks as good in person as it dose in these photos. it is a 62 cal. and built by Steve zihn. it shoots great, the lock is an English round faced water proof chambers. it is as fast as lightning! it has an ebony nose cap. Steve said he built this gun at least 25 years ago. he said it was the plainest jaeger he ever built! if this is plain I would love to see the fancy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

here is one I had a hand in building about 15 years ago. it was built from a track of the wolf kit. it has a 62cal Colerain barrel, and a Davis lock. it is a shooter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Barrel length and twist? I have a couple I will post soon. Gonna get some good pics. Both are originals.

Home-made, with an altered Chamber's lock, Colerain .58 barrel, and a Track t-guard altered. Rest's homemade.
Stock is American walnut as I didn't want to screw up European!

Here's my first Jaeger rifle: .60 cal Don Getz barrel @ 28", Davis Jaeger lock, Western maple stock, TOW furniture, ebony butttrap and nose piece. Is owned by a big game outfitter and guide here in Prince George, BC.

Here's a left handed one I made in 2014. It has a Rice .62 cal barrel also 28" long, stock of sugar maple.

Yeah - what's NOT to like? They are the second ultimate, but of course, the English only embellished on the German design
to make the ultimate hunting rifle. That took 50 years or more of time, though. In the meantime, the Jaegers were IT!

Guys,

Here is a Jaeger that I made a few years ago. It has an original twist iron Jaeger barrel that I lined as the original rifling was badly corroded. The breech plug is new from wrought iron. The gunlock and set triggers were made by myself without using any modern or electric tools, all by hand using only 18th century tools. The style is Brandenburg.

Ill get some pics of my originals tomorrow. I just got a phone call from my buddy Stan. He is just finishing up some work on the sear spring and the guts on the one lock. I should have that tomorrow. Although they are originals c1720 to 1740, they arent as fancy as the masterpieces posted above. Oh my! Just beautiful stuff.
