Beautiful detail. What are the dimensional differences in this rifle compared to a full size rifle of this type?
It does look petit in your hand.

Mony, the bore is 40 caliber and I used a small Dichburn lock, the rifle overall is about 2/3 size of a full sized Armstrong.

Again, I’m humbled by everyone’s response, thank you all.

Frank,
After looking over these pictures several times, I think your rifle has to be one of the very best rifles pictured on these pages in a long long time!
John Armstrong would certainly approve!

I agree with the above observation. I’m still intrigued with the size reduction. I guess, without meaning to be intrusive, how tall is your wife?

She’s 5’2” Mony. She’ll never get to shoot it, she has health issues that will keep her from doing that, but I still wanted her to have it. She loves it and that makes me happy. 😊

Tackling an Armstrong rifle is incredibly difficult. You did very well. It really looks as it should. Congratulations

Beautiful work.

This may be a novice question, but I would like to know about your wood finishing. There almost appears to be a textured surface on the wood, or not completely smooth, that may be part of the grain. I'm not sure if that is an artifact of the picture or if it does have a texture. It is very beautiful.
