Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

snapper; Sir. Thanks for posting pictures for us to enjoy with you. I enjoyed going over all support pieces pictured. The bullet mold stamping in particular.  Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. AJ.

A very good rifle, Moody!
Would it be possible to add a few nice in focus photos of the locks and such?

Yes, and details, calibre and such!
Was going to say you can still get information from Wilkinsons, but the letter tells you that!

To say that is nice would be an understatement!  I've never seen a double layer case before, never even considered one.  Obviously was included with an extra set of barrels as well, and everything that would be needed for an extended 'adventure'.

Just an afterthought, does anyone remember Wilkinson safety razor blades?  Yeah, it's been a while...

Nice outfit.  Do you have a picture of the muzzle?

And Wilkinson Swords. I used only Wilkinson razor blades for years.

that's a heck of a rifle. Where did you find that beauty? You should take a trip out west, maybe to Alaska and put it to use on grizzly or maybe moose.

2 rifles and 2 pistols?!  Ah, that explains some of the compartments that didn't fit my brain.  no wonder it needed a double decker case!  Everything required for the duration of the campaign!!

Moody, You have a real "hog tamer" there!!! Have you checked the twist and are the bores good? Waht does that bullet weigh? My scale won't weigh them, too heavy. Checking bores and casting Friday. Trying to figure starting load. Will check twist. Thanks

Exquisite rifle. Before I had a scale that would weigh heavier than 510gr., I had to cut a chunk off the bullet and weigh both pieces.

yes, the rifling is shallow.  I had to zoom in on it.  looks 5 lands and grooves, and the grooves look about twice as wide as the lands.  and are the lands rounded on top?
