I'm gonna try and shoot it on Sunday. I've got some targets printed, and getting the rifle together. Should  be -9º, so I can get a few shots off before I lose feeling in my fingers. I'm really looking forward to spring.

Great! I know what you mean about the weather. We have had some weather issues every time my friend Marc and I would try to get to the range; and it appears the same for this Friday. Our buddies in Canada are still having issues with COLD weather. It looks like you folks in CA are going to get another round of wet and the upper reaches of the US are apparently in for another round of the white stuff. I also understand issues with the computer! At my age, it's a struggle but I refuse to give up! I view it as a tool like a lug wrench and I'll figure it out - more or less. A bunch of folks want to shoot this month and I hope that they do.

We'll get out as the weather permits, JB. Taylor is working on the rifle I decided to use for this match. gong to be too cold until at least Monday & maybe a week from this Sunday.
Looks like there will be more entries this month. GREAT!!!!

I cleaned up the target, so that it'll print nicer:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kOZS141MIngBzB79g8-r6AiRDFQecmmX/view?usp=share_link
I also picked up some 65lbs card stock from Staples and it comes out really nice, for not a whole lot of money.

Really want temps to get above zero before I go out again, so I can return to my old trusted lube and not have to fight the gun...not looking promising at the moment (and I'll go out anyway, should it stay sub-zero).

Also, for future target pickers. If you have a target in mind, but want it to print nicer or a completely new design, feel free to PM me and I can probably quickly sort it out.

I can't save it and I can't print it from the link.
I disabled my cookie cruncher and still got the same message.
This is what I get from the link:

badwolf,
PM me your address and I'll put two in the mail. Or, if you have a printer, Jakob provided a nicely cleaned up target at

Just let me know.

MJBush,
I am probably the least qualified to give instructions on things computer, but here goes.
1. Take a picture of the target such that the target makes up the bulk of the image. Upload the picture to your computer. (See grandson).
2. Click on the reply button to this message. Type in your message. You will see a note  below the message box to "Add image to post".
3. Click on that line and follow the direction to add the image (see grandson). When you click  on "Add image to post" you will be directed to 'drag, drop' or paste the image or browse from your computer. Once you have selected the picture click the green  'upload'
button.
Moderators: I have most likely made a hash of helping MJBush. Could one of you please help him? Thanks.

JBJ, I tried shooting the target today but I can’t see the 3 white circles outside the crows body. Are we allowed to color them in?

PK,
Why not? Very little difference between that and using a moveable aiming point. As long as the rings can be seen to allow for scoring, go for it! Looking forward to seeing the results. Have fun!

You could likely just put your aiming point (bud) over top of the little bullseyes - or, aim with the front sight's base level with the top of your rear sight and put the aiming bud or spot where needed (low) to hit centre. Whatever gives you your "best" sight picture should work.
Had to edit that sentence.

Looks like I'm going first this month.
I got out today and shot 3 targets. It was -9ºC/15ºF, so a little chilly.
I was wearing my thin shooting glove on my shooting hand and a thicker one on my left.
This was shot offhand with my .45 Tennessee flintlock with 35 gr Goex fffg, .445 ball, and .018 ticking patch with bear grease.
I'm not disappointed for this being the first time I picked up my rifle since October.
The snow sure makes it easy to find patches and check their condition.
Fun and challenging target for sure.

Will likely color one so I can see the targets then staple it over a plain one on some cardboard.

Good shooting Justin. That is a very challenging target offhand. I have shot that target in the past and is one of my favorite animal target.
Glad to see you out shooting again.

Good shooting indeed! Upper left target = 35, upper right = 28 and the lower left looks like another 28. All of that snow makes this southern guy want another cup of coffee and a place close to the fire!

Thanks. Those dots are sure tiny downrange. Like shooting at a tack. I might try again towards the end of the month with some 2" pasters. It might even be warmer then.  It's currently a blizzard outside.

Yeah- we're having the same, Justin.  Glad you got out. -15 is too cold for us old guys to spend much time outdoors.
-15C is 5F.

Guys, about mid-July here in the south with temps over 90F and matching relative humidity values, you will be comfortable and we'll be miserable trying to shoot. I sure hope that the weather will ease up enough for you northern folks
to get out and clean that crow.

You meant get out and shovel that snow?
Mid July here could easily be the same temp as you, or higher, but lower humidity.
LOL- Just took this picture 4 minutes ago.

Justin, that is good shooting on those little bullseyes. I can't see them even after enlarging your picture on the range.
