The load I was using was.
70gr of 2f Swiss
A chunk of wasp nest
A hand rolled shot cup made from index card
1.5oz of TSS #9 shot
And another chunk of wasp nest overshot

Shot cards could be used instead of wasp nest.
The shot was 27yds out of a cylinder bore barrel. With that load there are roughly 500 pellets.
When I patterned it at 30yds there are usually 25 to 40 pellets in the head and neck.
