T/C BREECH PLUG

Finally found a breech plug, The next step is installing it on the barrel, never put one on before, any helpful tips will be surely appreciated

Be careful with a used T/C breech plug. Some of the earlier ones wore over tightened and then failed later with tragic results.
I have or HAD one that was so tight that a friend who was 6'8" and close to 400 pounds using a good fitting wrench and stout vise
could not unscrew it.

There are a million how-to's on YouTube, but not one on side lock breech plugs, only inline plugs, here is an opportunity for someone to show their talents

If it is a percussion get the correct TC spanner.  IF flint make or get V-blocks and an action wrench.  You will also need a barrel vice and barrel blocks.

IF you are not already equipped it may be cheaper to hire the job out.

Hopefully you are installing it on a new barrel that does not have sight dovetails or underlugs yet.  Much easier to install on a bare new barrel where it doesn't matter which flat it needs to align with.  If you have to clock it to a certain flat on a used barrel it is more complicated.
