Where can I buy hickory ramrods in Canada?

I'm travelling from Norway to to Canada may 19th.  Where can I get hickory ramrod or blanks in Canada.

I have not heard of anyone selling that in Canada, but hickory planks are available at most stores that have a lumber selection available. Pick through them for a straight grained one. If you happen to be close to me I would saw it up for you.

I know of no ramrods available in Canada, although there was a guy making laminated ones of various hardwoods, selling them at Rendezvous B.C.

I buy in bulk from American dealers when I am in need.  There is no issues with sending these to and from the States.
I have never bought split blanks - always doweled blanks.

I am sure there are any number of us who would be pleased to do that.  As a bonus, at least one of us would get to meet Rolf.  The cross-border postage is the killer.  If the timing works out, someone might be able to piggyback Rolf's order onto theirs.

Rolf is in Norway and I am indeed on the East coast.
In my experience, distance doesn't seem to have a significant influence on the cost of international shipping.  The $0.725 Canadian dollar is something else that makes cross-border purchases a little more costly.  Being a frugal lot, we try to combine orders whenever the opportunity arises.

Thank you for the kind offer, but I'm going to Crane brooks in BC. I'll be staying there from the 19th of may, heading back to Norway 26th may.  I was hoping I could get the blanks shipped to Crane brooks where I'm staying if possible. But, I don't how the mail system in Canada works/costs.
I need three blanks 3/8" for 44" long barrels.

I'd like to thank everyone for offers and suggestions. If nothing works out, I'll make the rods from ash.

I suspect you are going to Cranbrook, BC.
Cross-country postal service for packages generally takes about ten days to two weeks in Canada, but that can be reduced to as little as 3 days by using Expedited Shipping.  In my experience, Postal deliveries from the US take an average of two weeks, or slightly less if not held up at Customs - then all bets are off.  I would not expect ramrods to be delayed at Customs.  All considered, I would say you have plenty of time if you can put it together.
For reference, a tube 2" in diameter, 48" long and weighing 1 lb. shipped coast-to-coast would cost $45.00 for Regular Parcel Post (9 business days) and $48.00 for Xpresspost (3 days guaranteed).
Pretty costly for three blanks

Lucky you, hope you obtein some ramrods ;)By the way, I have only visit Canada one time in 1976 as a sailor we go to Vancovuer with a OBOS bulk/oil ship the lands loock much like Norway!
