Shot my June target with a little .36 caliber southern rifle I built form a block of curly maple. 000 buckshot (measures .350), 35 grains of 3fG GOEX powder, bear grease on the patch. I scored it as 25.

Here's my submission, pitiful as it is. Keep in mind this is a brand new rifle, I was tired from a long day of shooting, and I havn't gotten a load developed for the rifle yet. Jack Duprey Soddy Daisy .36, .350/.020/25g. Posted in video format. Like I said, I was tired from a long day of shooting and the video doesn't show the target distance but it can be seen at the end of the video.

I think I scores a '13' but I'm hazy on the score of a total miss of the 8.5"x11" paper, so I'll leave the official score to the Sapergia....

Like the others have found this is a much harder target than it appears. Very hard to see even at 25 yards. The good news for Bob is he still has 2 more targets to shoot. Love that Soddy-Daisy .36 caliber. Fun video to watch, tanks for having the courage to post it.

I thank Dennis Priddy for building my first flintlock rifle for me and starting me down a wonderful road of shooting, hunting, and building flintlocks. I hadn't shot this .40 caliber rifle for several years and decided to pull it out for a try at the June target. Used a .390 ball, .020 patch, 35 grains of 3fG GOEX, with bear grease on the patch. Seemed to be shooting a little high...not the rifles fault. (he grins) Anyway, I had fun this morning, and scored a questionable 10.

Bob: that was certainly the most entertaining submission so far...tempted to award points for showmanship...I re-wound your last shot three times looking for a strike on the target in a previous hole, but saw none. Also, I watched your muzzle with the cursor placed on it to see if you pulled the shot, but again, nothing. So I can only score what I can see...13/50!

I'd Like to shoot this, as it rained last night so a bit of free time, but don't have a printer tied to my computer.

Not that the results would be worth showing if I did!
Never been good at off-hand,... always took a lean if possible! LOL.

That was entertaining, Bob. Well done. I noticed easy loading all the way. What lube in your pre-lubed strip?
I'll use my .36 for the next one, if it ever stops raining, and the .69 for the third target - after-all it is the only
ML I've barked a squirrel with.
As the late John D. Baird found out, the .69 is "not the best, if you favour the squirrel for fare."

Thanks. It’s always interesting to make the videos. It’s some of Jack Duprey’s lube he sent me. Bear grease with a little beeswax to stiffen and an unnamed super slick natural ingredient. He sent it to me to test. I like it.

I agree...30/50! Half ball rules. With the difficulty of this target, I now think that I should have made it "line touch goes to higher score", but I didn't, so it is what it is, for now. Nice shooting Dowrat.

Daryl and Taylor, thank you for reviewing my target and correcting (raising) my score. I wasn't sure about that shot so I didn't count it. In my opinion five points isn't worth losing friends over.

This monthly shoot has been fun. I appreciate everyone's efforts to have a good competition. Shoot well my friends!

This is the 2nd postal match using this target. Both times I shot at the head. If there is a next time for this target (I went to the printer hand had 20 of them made on target weight paper) i am going to shoot for the limb. Might just do it anyway and post the results just for shucks and giggles.

I found with my printed targets, the head was hard enough to see, and the branch area about impossible.
The "area" of it was the only 'target' for aiming at the branch.

All, I shot two of those squirrel targets today, but can only upload 1 image, for better or worse. Seeing the head, 10-ring, and branch wasn't my problem, but hitting them was another story.
