Yes sir,I got the pictures and thank you for sending them. Our first Dachshund was a little red one
that looked like Sam. I named him Rommel. We had him for 13 years before he passed away and we
were way too attached to him but our current one "gretl" is also a neat liitle critter even if she is a
bone head at times.

I think the hard headedness is bred into them, they just will not give up, or quit.

Dogshirt, that's a terrible tragedy losing your home and possessions.   Thankfully everyone survived okay.

Only casualty was Otto, hunting on the run the day after the fire, and ran right through a hot spot.
Burned between two toes and singed the hair on all paws, but it didn't slow him down! It's that hard head again! ;)

Here's mine, .40, 42" GM barreled Bedford.  Been out for squirrels once with it, but so far it's killed more deer than limb rats.  Hope to remedy that later in the season...

Quite the opposite Osprey.  Here's a couple of pics of the young lady that was in moose camp this fall - the moose she shot the day before I got mine, and of her caping out my trophy.  She is a taxidermist from Switzerland and will be doing a full head mount of my moose.  I'm making her a nice Jaeger rifle in .60 cal. as part of the trade.

Jeeze. How do you top that? I've posted many of Salvo's guns before but I'm gonna do it again.
.25 cal built by Salvo. Walnut, forged iron parts, L&R Manton, Rayl rifled barrel. Shoots great but it's a bugger to clean.

I was gonna post pictures of the "Ultimate Squirrel Gun" but I won't bore you all with it again.
It's the .20 cal. smoothbore with an ash stock. :/

edited to fix pictures 7/5/19

Keb- a .20 calibre smoothbore?- not a 20 bore, but a .20 cal. smoothbore?   Is it perhaps a smooth rifle, with both front and rear sights, or is it for shot?

It has a .200" bore. Shoots a .17 pellet or BB. It does have sights, both front & rear. The barrel is sleeved with a total of 4 pieces of tubing. Salvo touted it as the "Ultimate Squirrel Gun" and he shot it indoors as well as outdoors. :/

Gamo sells .177 pure lead round balls as well as .22 cal round lead balls. They must be available in the States as well.

Sleeved with 4 pieces of tubing?  one inside of the other or 4 lengtwise?

And how much powder per charge?

Sleeved as in a small tube in a bigger tube x 4. I'd say 10-15 gr. 3f if I was to shoot it would be sufficient. I've not shot it only because I don't want to clean it. :/

Here is mine, although I browned the barrel since the photos were taken.  That shiney barrel was not good for hitting a mark!

It is 36 caliber, inspired by RCA 65.

It is good for everything up to and including coyotes.

Best Regards,

John Cholin
