I would imagine the bore is probably big enough to jam a squirrel down though. ;)

Thus, making it a "squirrel gun," seeing as potato guns launch potatoes. Said "squirrel gun" would be Far more entertaining too.

Thanks guys. Its the same pattern as my deer rifle just a bit thinner an lighter due to the barrel profile. This pattern of Don's an the woodsrunner pattern have always drawn me too them.

Yes its 38 inch B weight Rice barrel.

That's something like my .40 tube with its 38" X "B" wgt Green Mountain barrel.  Love those iron mounted Southern Appalachian poor boys.

My .32 caliber Dixie Tennessee Squirrel Rifle. Had this rifle a long time and it still shoots great.

Best I can tell is that many of the photos, mine included, have been "photobucketed" away.  Couldn't find any others I might have posted so I'll try again.  Nothing I have even remotely compares with what I've seen so far.  But as long as they are accurate......

No longer have this little Crockett, a real jewel, but it emptied the squirrel woods for years.

#1 squirreller, .36 X 38" X 3/4" featherweight.

.40 X 38" "B" wgt GM barrel.  Haven't used it for squirrels in the 12 or so years I've owned it.

Old and poor photo of a 3 year old rifle.  .32 X 38" X "A" wgt ( I think) Rice transition barrel.  Still working with it, actually.

Hanshi - that middle long rifle is my favourite of the bunch, but any of the long rifles looks just fine. (.40 "B" weight)

Daryl, that .40 has been used exclusively for targets and a couple of woods walks.  It's accurate and the "B" weight barrel gives it a "substantial" feel.  For my purposes it is too large for squirrels and too small for deer.  But I can't rule anything out as far as the future uses are considered.  It's the heaviest among my rifles excepting the .54.
